Red Bull Ring Retains Opening Slot on 2027 Calendar

DTM has revealed a largely unchanged calendar for 2027 with the Red Bull Ring retaining its slot as the season-opening event and just the Oschersleben and Zandvoort fixtures swapping places.

The same eight venues will again form the DTM’s schedule for the fifth consecutive year in 2027 and the new campaign will again begin at the Red Bull Ring at the end of April after the Austrian track moved to become the first round for this season.

Oschersleben will then return to being towards the start of the schedule with a May date, having previously opened the season between 2023 and 2025.

Lausitzring and Norisring retain their places as the third and fourth weekends, before Zandvoort moves into an early August slot as Round 5.

The season then concludes with trips to the Nürburgring and Sachsenring before the traditional Hockenheim finale.

ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss described DTM as being “on the road to success” with increased interest in the category this year.

“We have seen a 13 percent growth in the number of visitors in the first five events of this year,” he said.

“We want to carry that momentum into the 2027 season and are sticking with tried-and-tested venues that are popular with visitors. However, we are varying the order.

“With eight top-class race weekends, race tracks steeped in tradition, and a balanced mix of national highlights and international outings, we are once again able to offer fans, teams and partners a calendar that is right out of the top drawer.”

April 23-25 — Red Bull Ring
May 7-9 — Oschersleben
June 18-20 — Lausitzring
July 2-4 — Norisring
Aug. 6-8 — Zandvoort
Aug. 20-22 — Nürburgring
Sept. 24-26 — Sachsenring
Oct. 8-10 — Hockenheim
