Paul-Loup Chatin has replaced Nelson Panciatici at Baxi DC Racing Alpine for the remainder of the FIA World Endurance Championship season, the team confirmed on Thursday.

Chatin, who makes his return to the Signatech Alpine-run team, joins Chinese drivers David Cheng and Ho-Pin Tung in the team’s Alpine A460 Nissan for this weekend’s Six Hours of Fuji, as well as the Shanghai and Bahrain rounds.

Team principal Remy Brouard told Sportscar365 that Panciatici has other obligations that’s prevented the Frenchman from completing the season.

The 24-year-old Chatin, who drives for Panis-Barthez Competition in the European Le Mans Series, was with Signatech Alpine in the ELMS and WEC in 2014-15, having been replaced by Nicolas Lapierre for 2016.
