A revised 2027 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS calendar has been issued, featuring a change of dates and confirmation of the venue for the season finale.
The SRO Australia-operated series’ provisional calendar was revealed back in June at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, confirming the addition of a new event at Bathurst that replaces this year’s trip to Hidden Valley near Darwin.
However, changes have been made following publication of the 2027 Supercars calendar.
One of these is that the Queensland Raceway round, originally slated for Sept. 18-19, has been pushed back by a week to Sept. 25-26 in response to a clash with Supercars’ visit to The Bend, which would have been problematic for several drivers and teams.
The date change will also impact the Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia, which announced its 2027 schedule in July, as well as the other series on the Shannons SpeedSeries bill, including Monochrome GT4 Australia.
Additionally, the season finale has now been confirmed for the streets of Adelaide, where GTWC Australia shares a bill with Australia’s preeminent series.
That event is slated for Nov. 27-28, essentially the same date as this year’s finale.
As previously confirmed, the 2027 campaign is due to open in April at Phillip Island, with visits to The Bend and Sydney Motorsport Park, which has been moved up from its previous October date to July, also in the offing.
2027 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS Schedule (Updated):
Apr. 17-18 — Phillip Island
May 29-30 — The Bend
July 24-25 — Sydney Motorsport Park
Sept. 25-26 — Queensland Raceway
Oct. 30-31 — Bathurst
Nov. 27-28 — Adelaide
