Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia has released a provisional 2027 calendar that includes a first visit to the famous Mount Panorama circuit at Bathurst.

The Ford-backed one-make series is currently amid its inaugural campaign, which runs on the support bill of GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS for all bar the season finale at Sandown, where it will host a standalone event.

For its second season, it will once again feature on the support bill of the opening five GTWC Australia events under SRO Motorsports Australia’s ‘SpeedSeries’ banner, beginning with the opening round at Phillip Island on April 17-18.

That will be followed by visits to The Bend Motorsport Park, Sydney Motorsport Park and Queensland Raceway, before a first trip to Bathurst at the end of October.

A sixth and final round remains to be announced, in line with the GTWC Australia calendar that was revealed at last month’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

Series manager Liam Curkpatrick said: “It is fantastic to continue with SRO Motorsports Australia as a premium category into 2027.

“Our competitors have really enjoyed the opening three rounds with SRO at its SpeedSeries events, so it’s great to confirm that our second year will have consistency for all.

“Adding Bathurst to our schedule is very exciting. Mount Panorama is the perfect location for our Dark Horse Rs, and we know that we are going to produce some great racing there.

“Like 2026, we will run a six round series next year, so we still have one event to lock away. We are talking to various parties and confirmation of that will come in the near future.”

Josh Anderson and guest driver Oli Wickham split the wins in the championship’s most recent round at Queensland last month, with Anderson leading the points standings ahead of Joe Fawcett at the halfway stage of the season.

2027 Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia Schedule:
Apr. 17-18 — Phillip Island
May 29-30 — The Bend
July 24-25 — Sydney Motorsport Park
Sept. 18-19 — Queensland Raceway
Oct. 30-31 — Bathurst
