Toyota Gazoo Racing leads the Six Hours of Circuit of The Americas after the first hour, having taken a 1-2 lead following the first round of LMP1 pit stops.

Kazuki Nakajima is out front in the No. 8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid, running 1.2 seconds ahead of Jose Maria Lopez in the No. 7 car.

Neel Jani had led the first stint in his No. 1 Porsche 919 Hybrid but the pair of Porsches dropped back to third and fourth as they opted for a tire change while the Toyotas did not.

Andre Lotterer is running in third, 4.7 seconds down on the leader, while Brendon Hartley is fourth and behind by 16 seconds.

Gustavo Menezes leads the LMP2 class after taking over the No. 36 Signatech Alpine Matmut Alpine A470 Gibson from Nicolas Lapierre, and is running five seconds clear of Nelson Piquet Jr.

AF Corse is ahead of Aston Martin Racing with Davide Rigon running in the GTE-Pro lead in his No. 71 Ferrari 488 GTE. Nicki Thiim led most of the first stint in the No. 95 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

Weng Sun Mok and Clearwater Racing head the GTE-Am order with the No. 61 Ferrari, although contact between Francesco Castellacci and Paul Dalla Lana was the stand-out moment of the start, dropping the Aston Martin back with damage.
