Frédéric Vervisch went quickest in Night Qualifying for the Total 24 Hours of Spa in the No. 2 Audi Sport Team WRT Audi R8 LMS, as Raffaele Marciello’s 2.18.675 from the first Qualifying session remained unbeaten.

The two-hour session which determines the 20 cars that will take part in the Super Pole tomorrow evening didn’t change much to the order that had already been set in the first Qualifying earlier in the evening.

Vervisch went fastest, but didn’t manage to improve his own time from Q1, as the No. 90 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 remained on top.

The session was red flagged after just five minutes following a big crash of Matt Parry’s No. 22 Motul Team RJN Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.

The Nissan went straight into the tire barriers at Radillon, and it appeared something broke on the car when the Brit clipped the apex of Eau Rouge.

Parry got out of the car under his own power, was checked at the medical centre and deemed OK.

The No. 9 Team Abt Bentley Continental GT3 of Jordan Pepper (P7), No. 23 Motul Team RJN Nissan of Lucas Ordonez (P9) and No. 63 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini of Mirko Bortolotti (P6) made the most notable improvements, all positioning themselves in the top 20.

Thirty-six cars posted a time within the same second across both qualifying sessions tonight, a new record for the Blancpain GT Series.

The No. 97 Oman Racing Team Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 was the only Pro-Am Cup entry to make it into the top 20 that will be allowed to take part in the Super Pole.
