The No. 69 Emil Frey Ferrari will start on pole for the final race of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup season at Barcelona, courtesy of Ben Green’s time from second practice.

With an extreme weather alert forcing Sunday morning’s qualifying to be cancelled, the grid was instead determined by the fastest times from FP2 of each driver who did not qualify for Saturday’s opening race.

Green’s 1:55.165 was good enough to put the No. 69 Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo on pole with the Briton’s time in the wet session being two tenths of a second faster than Maro Engel achieved in the No. 48 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

The second row will be occupied by the pair of Lionspeed Porsche 911 GT3 R Evos — the No. 80 machine of newly crowned Sprint Cup champion Ricardo Feller edging out Gustav Bergstrom in the Silver Cup pole-sitting No. 89 car.

Christopher Haase in the Eastalent Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II will start fifth, while Dani Juncadella aboard the No. 3 2 Seas Mercedes-AMG rounds out the top-six.

The Gold Cup pole has been taken by Arthur Rougier aboard the No. 111 CSA Racing McLaren 720S GT3 Evo in seventh overall, while the Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing Porsche that is on the brink of sealing the Bronze Cup title has pole in that category with Peter Dempsey in 18th place.

The race is due to get under way at 6:20 p.m. CEST (12:20 p.m. EST) after the timetable was shuffled following a local government directive that prevented any activity until 2 p.m.
