Barwell Motorsport will expand to a three-car GT3 entry in the British GT Championship next season with Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen returning, the team has announced.

It will field three Lamborghini Huracan GT3s in the top class after running two cars this year.

Championship runners-up Minshaw and Keen return for their sixth straight season together but will be joined by two new driver lineups.

Leo Machitski and Patrick Kujala will team up in one car while Jonny Cocker and Sam De Haan will pilot the third entry.

Machitski and Kujala both competed with Barwell in the Blancpain GT Series this year, while Jonny Cocker was a European Le Mans Series GTE race winner this year with JMW Motorsport.

Cocker will race alongside De Haan, who makes his GT racing debut with the team next year.

“It’s terrific to be announcing three such quality lineups,” commented team principal Mark Lemmer.

“Jon, Keeny, Leo, Jonny and more recently Patrick have all enjoyed enormous success with us over the years, and we warmly welcome Barwell’s ‘new boy’, Sam De Haan.

“British GT3 will be a steep learning curve for him but I have every faith in his potential.”
