Romain Dumas set the fastest time in final Free Practice for the 6 Hours of Monza, while Peugeot ended its practice run with both cars inside the top three.
Dumas reeled off a lap of 1:36.813 behind the wheel of the No. 708 Glickenhaus 007 Pipo with just under 30 minutes remaining in the hour-long session.
The Frenchman put in his lap time at a time when Peugeot had both cars at the top of the timesheets.
Mikkel Jensen had set the quickest time of the two aboard the No. 93 Peugeot 9X8 by posting a 1:37.020, improving upon the best effort by teammate Paul di Resta by 0.065 seconds.
Dumas’ flying lap dropped Jensen down to second place, with Di Resta completing the top three.
Brendon Hartley sat in fourth in the No. 8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, just under half a second behind Dumas.
The New Zealander led teammate Kamui Kobayashi by just over two-tenths of a second, with Nicolas Lapierre completing the top six for Alpine.
The six Hypercars were covered by 0.831 seconds, a larger gap compared to Saturday’s morning second practice session, where it was under half a second.
JOTA’s Jonathan Aberdein led the way in LMP2, posting a best lap of 1:38.904 behind the wheel of the No. 38 Oreca 07 Gibson.
The South African’s best effort was fast enough to prevent Team WRT’s two cars from occupying the top spots in the final session before qualifying later this afternoon.
The No. 31 Oreca, driven by Robin Frijns was second in class at 0.193 seconds, with Ferdinand Habsburg third in the sister car.
Charles Milesi took fourth for Richard Mille Racing Team, with the top five in class rounded out by Rene Binder, whose No. 45 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca led the Pro/Am class.
Nick Tandy put Corvette Racing top in GTE-Pro for the first time at Monza, as the Briton set a best lap of 1:45.902 behind the wheel of No. 64 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R.
Porsche, which had led the previous two practice sessions, came in second with a best lap of 1:46.000 courtesy of Michael Christensen in the No. 92 Porsche 911 RSR-19.
Alessandro Pier Guidi made it three different marques in the top three by taking third aboard the No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, leading compatriot Antonio Fuoco in the No. 52 sister car. Gianmaria Bruni completed the class for Porsche.
A late fast lap from Nick Cassidy put the No. 54 AF Corse Ferrari fastest in GTE-Am, with the Kiwi’s best lap of 1:47.676 a tenth and a half clear of Dempsey-Proton Racing’s Harry Tincknell.
