Silver, Pro-Am Titles On the Line Entering Indy Finale

Championships are on the line in the Pirelli GT4 America Silver and Pro-Am categories heading into the title-deciding weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

A total of 36 cars are entered for the final two rounds of the season this weekend, with much of the focus set to be on the remaining championships that are still up for grabs in two of the three classes of competition.

A class win and two additional podium finishes last time out at Sebring International Raceway has put Zac Anderson with 27-point lead over the Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports pairing of Michai Stephens and Jesse Webb in the Silver class.

With a maximum of 50 points available between the two 60-minute races, Anderson, who will share the wheel of the No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 this weekend with John Capestro-Dubets, could theoretically clinch the title in Friday’s opening race of the weekend.

In Pro-Am, meanwhile, only 19 points separate BimmerWorld’s James Walker Jr. and Tyler McQuarrie from second-place Matt Travis and Jason Hart of Nolasport, in the tightest points battle in the series.

The Am class championship, meanwhile, has already gone to Charlie Postins and James Clay, also of BimmerWorld, who locked things up in the second race of the weekend at Sebring.

Track action for GT4 America competitors kicks off on Thursday with a pair of practice sessions, followed by qualifying and Race 1 at 5:25 p.m. EDT on Friday. Race 2 takes place Sunday at 10:35 a.m. EDT, with both races to be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
