Webb, Cooper Score Indianapolis Poles

Grids set for final two Pirelli GT4 America races of season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway…

Jesse Webb and Michael Cooper have claimed poles for this weekend’s Pirelli GT4 America season-ending races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Webb stormed to a best lap of 1:30.805 in Qualifying 1 aboard his No. 34 Conquest Racing/JMF Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 to outpace Pro-Am class pole-sitter Matt Travis by 0.497 seconds.

Kevin Boehm qualified third overall and second in the Silver class in the No. 92 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4, followed by Pro-Am class competitor Kevin Conway in the No. 68 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO.

The No. 26 The Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Hannah Grisham completed the top-five, scoring the Am class pole in the process, ahead of the Silver class title-contending BMW from Auto Technic Racing driver John Capestro-Dubets in sixth.

Q2 saw Cooper take his No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston to a benchmark 1:29.605 lap time, edging out fellow Aston Martin driver Roman De Angelis by 0.461 seconds.

Parker Thompson qualified third overall and atop the time charts in the Silver class in his No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota, with Kay van Berlo fourth and Andrew Davis fifth, both in ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports.

Terry Borcheller, meanwhile, took top qualifying honors in Am for Race 2 in his No. 20 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota.

The first race of the weekend is set for 5:25 p.m. EDT this evening, with Race 2 on Sunday at 10:35 a.m. Both rounds will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
