Elliott Skeer led the way in the second practice session of the day for Fanatec GT World Challenge America competitors at Virginia International Raceway.
The Wright Motorsports driver took his No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R to a quick lap of 1:45.471, which led the way in the 60-minute afternoon session but was three-tenths slower than Philip Ellis’ chart-topping time from the morning session, which was held in cooler conditions.
Skeer ended the second practice session 0.106 seconds faster than the Pro-Am class pace-setting No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo of Aaron Povoledo, who made a number of late-session improvements to jump up the leaderboard.
The No. 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 of Luca Mars and Zach Veach was third quickest overall and second in the Pro class, followed by the No. 63 DXDT Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R of Tommy Milner and Alec Udell.
DXDT’s sister, Pro-Am class entry of Bryan Sellers was fifth overall and second in class.
Adam Carroll put the No. 19 Esses Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo sixth overall and third in Pro-Am, followed by Ellis’ No. 91 Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG and the No. 29 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3.
The No. 85 RS1 Porsche and No. 28 ST Racing BMW completed the overall top-ten.
There were no red flags or reported incident during the session.
