GetSpeed Performance has revealed plans to enter the Michelin 24H Barcelona, with American racers Jon Hirshberg and Patrick Liddy named as the first two drivers in the team’s line-up.
Hirshberg and Liddy will team up to share the No. 286 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, which is one of the first confirmed entries for the Michelin 24H Series season finale, held on Sept. 26-28.
Both drivers have a history of competing in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, with Hirshberg set to step up to GT3 for the first time after spending nearly his entire career with Forte Racing.
He currently still competes with Forte in Super Trofeo North America’s LB Cup category but has also made occasional starts at the wheel of LMP3 machinery in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge.
Liddy, for his part, also competed in Super Trofeo but has since raced GT3 machinery in a variety of cars, most notably taking a GTD class victory with Forte in the 2023 edition of Motul Petit Le Mans.
He made his 24H Series debut earlier this year, sharing a Dragon Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 in the Michelin 24H Dubai with Matt Bell, Blake McDonald and Dustin Blattner.
GetSpeed, meanwhile, is set for its first outing in the 24H Barcelona, although it has competed in the Creventic-organized 24H Series before.
The Adam Osieka-led squad most notably entered the 24H Dubai with a single-car Mercedes-AMG entry last year.
