Temerario Super Trofeo to Make Global Race Debut at Sebring

The new-for-2026 Lamborghini Temerario Super Trofeo is set to make its global race debut in the opening round of Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America at Sebring International Raceway in March, following the release of all three regional single-make series calendars on Thursday.

The V8-powered race car, of which 100 examples will be built for the first seasons of competition, replaces the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 in Super Trofeo North America, Europe and Asia competition beginning next year.

The six-round 2027 Super Trofeo North America schedule sees no changes from this year, with all five events on U.S. soil again on IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship weekends.

While Lamborghini has inked an extension of its sanctioning agreement with IMSA, all regular rounds of Super Trofeo Europe will be on SRO’s GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS bill, after having a standalone event at Imola this year.

The European season will kick off later than usual, with the GTWC Europe Endurance Cup round at Imola confirmed as the opening event on May 21-23, followed by Spa, supporting the 24-hour race, in June.

While a return to the Nürburgring is again in store, Super Trofeo Europe will visit both Misano and Hungaroring, with the latter circuit returning to the calendar for the first time since 2010.

In Asia, Sepang will again serve as the first round, with trips to Inje Speedium in South Korea, Suzuka, for the first time since 2019 in a Japanese double-header that concludes with a trip to Fuji Speedway two weeks later, before a return to Shanghai International Circuit in late August.

All three series will again hold its final rounds of the season at the Lamborghini World Finals venue, which has yet to be revealed.

“The 2027 global Super Trofeo calendar features a series of exciting venues and events across North America, Europe and Asia,” said Head of Lamborghini Motorsport Andrea Reggiani.

“In North America, the season will get underway alongside the 75th edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring, while in Europe the championship will once again support the 24 Hours of Spa. In Asia, we will return to Suzuka after many years, adding another iconic venue to an already outstanding calendar.

“With this calendar, we wanted to give our racing customers the opportunity to compete at some of the most prestigious circuits in the world, experiencing the same iconic venues that have shaped the history of motorsport.

“Combined with the arrival of the new Temerario Super Trofeo, we are looking forward to an exceptional 2027 season.”
