Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe heads to Spain and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend for the penultimate round of the campaign, where all four class title battles remain tightly contested as the season enters its closing stages.
With a total of 64 points up for grabs in the remaining two rounds, the class championship fights are still all to play for.
In Pro, just three points split the top two in the standings, while nine points separate the leading contenders in Pro-Am.
In Am, 12 points covers the top three crews, while nine crews are still mathematically in the hunt for the LB Cup crown.
Barcelona will host a round of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe for the seventh time, having first made an appearance on the calendar during the inaugural season in 2009.
After a clean sweep of victories at the Nürburgring last time out, Kevin Gilardoni and Simone Iaquinta (DL Racing) hold a three-point lead at the top of the Pro standings over the Oregon Team partnership of Patrik Fraboni and Silas Lovén Rytter.
Both crews have taken three race wins so far in 2026, with Gilardoni and Iaquinta having the edge on podium finishes with seven, versus five for Fraboni and Rytter.
Third in the standings is the Rexal Villorba Corse pairing of Benedetto Strignano and Nicholas Pujatti, who lie 22 points adrift of Gilardoni and Iaquinta.
The all-Italian duo finished third in race one at the Nürburgring but a non-score in race two leaves them with work to do if they are to maintain their title challenge.
Behind, just 17 points separates four crews in the battle for fourth in the standings. Leipert Motorsport’s Henri Tuomaala and Matias Salonen have not won a race this season so far, but strong consistency (two third places and only one finish outside the top six) means they sit two points clear of Spa race two winners, and Leipert Motorsport team-mates Axel Bengtsson and Månz Thalin.
UNIQ Racing’s Jerzy Spinkiewicz – who missed the Barcelona round last year through injury – is only six points further back and in turn just nine points clear of Rogério Grotta and Alfio Andrea Spina (Oregon Team).
In the Pro-Am class, Bronislav Formánek and Anthony Pretorius (Mi¬¬čánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra) continue to lead the way heading into the penultimate round of the season, but the ASR crew of Paolo Biglieri and Marzio Moretti are just nine points back in second, after claiming their first win of the season at the Nürburgring in August.
Another crew who broke their victory drought for the year in Germany was VSR’s Miguel Cristóvão and Paul Levet, who are just seven points behind Biglieri and Moretti in third, while Oregon Team’s Pietro Perolini and Josef Knopp also remain in touch, five points further adrift.
Six crews are still mathematically in the mix for the title, with ASR’s Alessio Ruffini and Milo¬š Pavlović keen to return to the podium for the first time since their victory at Imola.
Meanwhile, the Invictus Corse crew of Jonathan Cecotto and Sergei Astafjev will be aiming to break their podium duck after two fourth place finishes this year so far.
Mičánek Motorsport also head the Am standings, with Jakub Knoll and Renaud Kuppens taking an 11-point advantage into the Barcelona weekend over GT3 Poland’s Grzegorz Moczulski.
Knoll and Kuppens have amassed five podium finishes (and one victory) throughout the season and three pole positions to Moczulski’s three podiums.
A point behind Moczulski, CMR’s Stéphane Lémeret and Rodrigue Gillion are still firmly in contention for the title, having taken victory in race two at the Nürburgring.
The Belgian duo is one of two crews to have won more than once this season, with Todd Kingsford taking a pair of wins at Spa-Francorchamps.
After a pair of podium finishes at the Nürburgring, Rexal Villorba Corse’s Karim Ojjeh is 30 points off the top of the table.
The LB Cup title race could not be closer, with nine crews still mathematically capable of being crowned champion.
Just 12 points split the top six crews, with Oregon Team’s Adalberto Baptista leading the way by five points from Rexal Villorba Corse’s Claude-Yves Gosselin.
The latter picked up a pair of wins at the Nürburgring to launch himself back into contention and is three points clear of the all-Danish pairing of Peder Demant M¬¬øller and Nina Østergaard (DC Motorsport).
Umar Abdullah Basalamah is only one point behind in fourth but is expected to miss the Barcelona round after suffering a heavy crash at the end of the second race last time out in Germany.
GT3 Poland’s Holger Harmsen is ten points off the top of the standings and only two points ahead of DL Racing’s Francesco Turzo. Rexal Villorba Corse’s Donovan and Luciano Privitelio are looking to get back into the title mix this weekend, as is ASR’s Petar Matić. The two crews lie 27 and 29 points off Baptista respectively.
Free Practice kicks off activities on Friday, with qualifying and Race 1 (4:50 p.m. CET) on Saturday and Race 2 (12:05 p.m.) on Sunday. Both races will be streamed live on Lamborghini Squadra Corse and SRO GT World YouTube channels.
