Rockwell Autosport Development has revealed an all-new driver lineup for its Hyundai Elantra N TCR entry in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge this year.
Reigning Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West Pro-Am champion Daniel Hanley will make the step into TCR competition, alongside Doug Oakley, who transitions from his role as race engineer into a full-season driving role.
Hanley, the son of Bryan Herta Autosport co-owner Robert Hanley, will be making his IMSA debut after a previous outing in Pirelli GT4 America.
His addition comes with a “strengthening” of the team’s technical partnership with BHA, which will provide the team with engineering support according to team co-owner Alex Rockwell, who will be the third driver for this month’s season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.
“I’m excited about what we’re building for 2026,” said Daniel Hanley. “The team has put in the work, the Elantra N TCR is a proven package and I’m confident we have what it takes to fight at the front all year.”
Oakley, meanwhile, will will still be “fully involved” in car and setup development in his new dual role.
“This is a big step forward for me personally and for all my guys on the team,” he said. “It will be my first time back on the grid since my last IMSA event at Daytona in 2024, where we finished P4 and I’m extremely motivated and confident that we have what it takes to compete at the front.
“The Hyundai Elantra N TCR has proven it can win at this level, and with the foundation we’ve built, 2026 is about execution.”
The team made the switch to the Hyundai platform in the final two races of the season last year after previously running Audi RS 3 LMS TCR machinery.
“Doug’s move into a full season driving role is a natural progression for where this team is headed,” said team co-owner Eric Rockwell. “Combined with our driver lineup and technical partners, we’re in a strong position heading into 2026.”
Team co-owner Alex Rockwell added: “We’ve focused on building something sustainable and competitive. With the Elantra N TCR and the team we’ve assembled, we’re ready to consistently contend in TCR.
“I’m also looking forward to joining Doug and Daniel in the car at Daytona for the four-hour race as the third driver — it’s going to be a great way to kick off the season.”
