BMW Unveils Art Car Tribute Livery for No. 32 WRT Entry

BMW M Motorsport has taken the wraps off the No. 32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO, which is sporting a tribute livery to Australian artist Ken Done’s BMW Art Car in this weekend’s Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

The design, which broke cover on Thursday morning at Mount Panorama, site of this weekend’s Intercontinental GT Challenge season opener, will be on the defending race-winning BMW, driven by Kelvin van der Linde, Charles Weerts and Jordan Pepper.

It depicts Done’s original design on a BMW M3 from 1989, which served as BMW’s eighth official Art Car.

The tribute design has been coined as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the German manufacturer’s Art Car program, which began in 1975.

The last original BMW Art Car to have raced was the 20th Art Car by Julie Mehretu, which took part in the 2024 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on WRT’s No. 20 BMW M Hybrid V8 in the Hypercar class.

WRT’s sister No. 46 BMW, driven by Valentino Rossi, Raffaele Marciello and Augusto Farfus, features a more traditional design with a base white and black colors.
