Rouven Mohr will make the switch from Lamborghini to Audi beginning next month, having been named the German manufacturer’s new chief technical officer, effective March 1.
Mohr, who most recently held the same role with Lamborghini, while also serving as interim motorsport boss for Lamborghini Squadra Corse, will continue in a dual capacity with the Italian manufacturer until a successor plan is established according to a statement from the four-rings.
Mohr, who has spent 18 years within the Volkswagen Group, will also join Audi’s board of management. He replaces Geoffrey Bouquot, who has decided to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company.
“Rouven Mohr joins us as a distinguished technology expert who combines in-depth know-how with a clear focus on long-term value creation for Audi,” said Manfred Doss, chairman of the supervisory board of Audi AG.
Audi CEO Gernot Dollner added: “Rouven Mohr combines technical excellence with a focus on products and proven execution strength. He will play a central role in further accelerating our innovation.”
Lamborghini will now have two high-ranking positions to fill, as Mohr had served as the interim motorsport director since Maurizio Leschiutta’s departure after less than a year in the role.
Previously, he had also held the interim motorsport role in 2024 following Giorgio Sanna’s departure before the hiring of Leschiutta.
The change comes amid a crucial period for the manufacturer, which is launching the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 at next month’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, while also in the final development phases of the Super Trofeo variation.
