Tanner Harvey and Patrick Liddy will step up to the Pro class in McLaren Trophy America this year with Forte Racing.

The pairing, who claimed victory at Road America last year, capped off the season with Pro-Am class wins in the final two rounds of the season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and will be looking to build on the success in the fight for overall honors in the single-make series.

“I’m excited to be returning to Forte Racing for the McLaren Trophy season,” said Harvey.

“The team has built an incredible program, and it’s great to continue working with such a talented group both on and off the track.

“Patrick and I developed strong momentum last season, and we’re looking to carry that into this year as we push for more wins and consistent results. I’m grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get the season started at Sonoma.”

Liddy added: “The team continues to raise the bar every year, and it’s great to be part of a program with such a strong group of people behind it.

“Tanner and I learned a lot racing together last season, and we’re coming into this year with a lot of confidence.

“With the level of preparation Forte brings to every event, I think we’re in a great position to have a strong season and fight at the front.”

Forte will continue to have two cars in the SRO America-run series following last week’s confirmation of RP Motorsports by Forte’s return.

“Patrick and Tanner made tremendous progress last season and really came together as a strong driver pairing,” said team owner team owner Shane Seneviratne.

“The McLaren Trophy America series is incredibly competitive, and moving into the Pro/Pro class shows the confidence we have in both of them.

“With the experience they gained last year and the work they’ve put in during the offseason, we’re looking forward to seeing them continue to develop and compete for strong results throughout the season.”

The McLaren Trophy America season gets underway next weekend at Sonoma Raceway.
