Fletcher Leads Robusto in Friday Practice at Sonoma

Jeremy Fletcher led Will Robusto following the opening day of official track action for Rounds 3 and 4 of the Toyota GR Cup North America season at Sonoma Raceway.

Fletcher, in the No. 22 Copeland Motorsports Toyota GR86 Cup car, reeled off a 1:51.084 lap in the opening practice session, while he also topped the afternoon practice but was unable to match his early benchmark.

His time from the moening was 0.060 seconds quicker than No. 2 RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate entry of Will Robusto, a time also set in Practice 1.

Robusto’s teammate Max Schweid was third on the time charts, with Spike Kohlbecker fourth in his TechSport Racing entry.

The No. 72 BSI Racing Toyota of Ethan Goulart completed the top-five, which saw all the leading times set in the cooler morning conditions.

Quickest in the WWEX Group Legends Cup class was Livio Galanti in the No. 89 Dream Machine @ Eagles Canyon Toyota.

The second 30-minute session saw a brief red flag with ten minutes to go.

Qualifying 1 is next up and is scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 a.m. PST (1:30 p.m. EST).
