The No. 93 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-06 will sport a special ‘Thank You’ livery for the final two IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races of the season, to commemorate the end of Acura’s stint the GTP class.
Acura announced in April it would be “pausing” their factory program at the end of the year, bringing to an end a decade of IMSA success across the NSX GT3, ARX-05 and ARX-06 race cars.
The livery honors Acura and Honda Racing Corporation USA’s tenure in the series; which saw Acura earn 14 team, driver and manufacturer championships, 33 victories, 43 pole positions, and top-class wins in each of the four major North American sports car races—including three wins in the series’ biggest test, the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Teams and drivers that helped Acura to that success are highlighted on the livery, as well as the individual tracks and championship honors that Acura has earned across the decade.
The No. 93 Acura of Nick Yelloly and Renger van der Zande will run the livery both at this weekend’s TireRack Battle on the Bricks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and at next month’s Motul Petit Le Mans.
