The Risi Competizione Maserati MC20 GT2 will start from the rear of the GT America powered by AWS grid in Race 1 after flunking post-qualifying technical inspection.

Confirmed in a report from the stewards issued on Friday afternoon, the rear wing of the Peter Dempsey-driven car was not in compliance.

It has given pole position, overall and in the SRO3 class, to the No. 56 SKI Autosports Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II of Memo Gidley.

Race 1 of the weekend is set for Saturday at 8:05 a.m. EST with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.
