The date for the 2016 running of the Nürburgring 24 has been confirmed by race organizers.
The twice-around-the-clock German endurance classic will take place on May 26-29, 2016.
The date, which has been moved back one week, is expected to now fall on the same weekend as the Indianapolis 500 and Monaco Grand Prix.
Following a successful debut on the Nordschelife this year, the FIA World Touring Car Championship has also been confirmed to return to the weekend bill in 2016.
This year’s 24-hour race, won by Audi Sport Team WRT, saw a weekend attendance of 200,000 spectators.
