Rosenqvist Leads Mercedes-AMG 1-2-3 in Pre-Qualifying

Felix Rosenqvist led the way in Pre-Qualifying for the Total 24 Hours of Spa, with Mercedes-AMG GT3s occupying five of the top-10 positions, including the top-three.

Rosenqvist’s 2:19.549 lap time in the No. 88 AMG – Team AKKA ASP entry was set late in the one-hour session, which was run in full dry conditions and without any incidents.

The Swede bumped Maro Engel from the top spot, after Engel’s 2:19.614 lap held the quickest for the majority of the session in the Linkin Park-liveried No. 00 AMG – Team Black Falcon Mercedes.

The No. 85 HTP Motorsport Mercedes was third quickest overall, with the Free Practice pace-setting No. 26 Sainteloc Racing Audi R8 LMS the best of the rest in fourth, sandwiched between another Mercedes, the No. 84 AMG – HTP entry in fifth.

Barwell Motorsport’s Oliver Gavin ended the session 6th in the No. 666 Lamborghini Huracan GT3, followed by the best of the No. 99 ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3 in 7th and the No. 74 ISR Racing Audi in 8th.

Next up is Qualifying 1, which is scheduled for 8 p.m. local time.
