Having been absent from the opening two rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship, there are concerns over the future of Millennium Racing. (En Français)

However, the UAE-backed organization, run by UK-based Delta Motorsport, has not given up hope for the remainder of the season, according to team leader Fabien Giroix.

“As the funding is not yet arrived [due to administration issues], it was not possible for us to be present at Spa,” Giroix told Endurance-Info. “The money is a matter of a few days away, so it’s no reason to put the program on standby.”

Giroix said the team will be operational for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but there’s now the problem of timing due to the submission date of entry confirmations to the ACO.

“Our wish is to continue to race in ACO-labeled series for the long term,” he said. “We were well prepared during the winter with several test sessions.”

Should the cars return to action, the No. 22 entry is expected to be driven by Giroix, John Martin and Oliver Turvey, while Stefan Johansson, Mike Conway and Shinji Nakano are contracted to pilot the No. 23 entry.
