Martin Kodric is set to make his McLaren 650S GT3 debut in this weekend’s Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup round at Hungaroring in a lineup change that sees Strakka Racing reduce from four to three cars.
The 20-year-old Croatian will pilot the No. 42 McLaren with Lewis Williamson, replacing team owner/driver Nick Leventis, while the No. 43 entry of Jonny Kane and Come Ledogar has been withdrawn with an illness for the Frenchman the understood reason.
Former Super Trofeo driver Kodric has so far focused on driving the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for Barwell Motorsport and VSR in the Blancpain GT Series and Blancpain GT Series Asia respectively.
The Nos. 58 and 59 car lineups have remained unchanged for the Hungarian race with Ben Barnicoat, Alvaro Parente, Andrew Watson and Rob Bell all remaining in their usual positions.
The entry for this weekend’s penultimate Sprint Cup round has therefore been reduced to 30 cars, following the withdrawal of one of ROWE Racing’s BMW M6 GT3s earlier in the week.
