Derani Leads at Halfway Mark

Pipo Derani leads the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring for Tequila Patron ESM, as the race has reached the halfway point.

Derani has controlled the last two hours in the No. 22 Tequila Patron ESM Nissan Onroak DPi with the No. 7 Acura Team Penske ARX-05 driven by Ricky Taylor in second and Spencer Pigot third in the No. 55 Mazda RT24-P.

Derani had his lead of over 17 seconds erased by the fifth full course caution of the race which came when Dominik Baumann hit a trackside sign in the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 and drug it onto the track.

The race passed the halfway mark under the yellow.

Class pole-sitter Connor De Phillippi continues BMW’s strong showing at the front of the GT Le Mans field in the No. 25 BMW M8 GTE.

Toni Vilander runs second in the No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTE with Nick Tandy and his Porsche teammate Laurens Vanthoor third and fourth.

Luca Stolz leads in GT Daytona in the No. 33 Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 followed by Corey Lewis and Gunnar Jeannette for Paul Miller Racing and Scuderia Corsa, respectively.
