The battle for the lead at the Total 24 Hours of Spa continues, with the No. 77 BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS BMW Z4 GT3 in the lead with four hours to go.

A very strong run by Dirk Werner meant the BMW was just 27 seconds behind the Audi, after both cars had made 17 pitstops. Markus Palttala, however, was unable to close the gap to the No. 1 Audi of Laurens Vanthoor, René Rast and Markus Winkelhock due to an electronic issue.

Within a matter of laps the lead was back to 39 seconds, before the No. 1 Audi came in for pitstop number 18 and Palttala moved back into the lead.

Belgian Audi Club Team WRT’s No. 2 Audi R8 LMS ultra was involved in a coming together with the No. 63 Black Falcon Mercedes, both cars suffering damage and returning to the pits. They rejoined the race, albeit ten laps down on the race leaders.

In Pro-Am Scuderia Villorba Corse had a comfortable lead, but a starter motor engine caused a lengthy delay and a loss of position. After 20 hours the Villorba Corse car had dropped down to sixth in class, with Ecurie Ecosse inheriting the lead, with the No. 52 AF Corse Ferrari moving up into second place.

AF Corse also leads the Gentlemen Trophy with the No. 51 Ferrari 458 Italia.
