Toyota’s GT300-spec Supra was spotted testing last week at Fuji Speedway ahead of a planned debut in Super GT next year.
The V8-powered Supra is understood to be built to JAF-GT300 technical regulations and not to FIA GT3 standards, therefore making it only eligible for the Japanese-based series, as well as the Suzuka 10 Hours.
The Supra joins the previously announced GT4-spec version of the car, which is set for a gradual rollout in 2020, while the silhouette versions of the Supra will be seen in Super GT500, as well as in NASCAR competition.
