A sunny and cool California afternoon welcomed race fans to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Sunday, celebrating a decade of Ferrari Challenge North America at the world-renowned circuit.

Trofeo Pirelli

Nearly two years on, Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) returned to the top step of the Ferrari Challenge podium. The longtime Ferrari driver got an excellent start off the line over polesitter Johnny Kaminskey (Ferrari of Long Island) and never relinquished his lead.

It was Perrina’s first win since Sonoma Raceway during the second half of the 2024 season, but it was his fourth podium thus far this year.

Kaminskey, the Race 1 winner at Laguna Seca, still holds his championship lead in the class after a second-place finish on Sunday. Behind him in third was George Grinzewitsch III (Ferrari of San Francisco).

Kevin Gutierrez (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale) was also a first-time winner this season running in Trofeo Pirelli Am. Gutierrez is quietly sneaking up the championship standings now with two previous podiums to his name.

Michael Porter (Ferrari of Seattle) and Gregory Hopkins (Foreign Cars Italia) followed in second and third, respectively. While Porter stood on the podium earlier this year Sebring International Raceway and at Laguna Seca on Saturday, it was Hopkins’ first celebration of 2026.

Coppa Shell

Charlie Menard (Twin Cities Performance) walks away with two winning trophies at Laguna Seca after crossing the finish line first on Sunday and being rewarded the victory from the day prior.

Leading the Coppa Shell class, Menard led all but one lap during the weekend’s two races en route to his third and fourth victories of the year. The one lap lost was due to a side-by-side battle that knocked his Ferrari from the lead, but ultimately was reinstated after the checkered flag.

Blake Rosser (Ferrari of San Diego) finished second on Sunday after a podium on Saturday, and he was followed by Chuck Whittall (Ferrari of Central Florida) who tied his best finish of the season.

In Coppa Shell Am, Tim Duit (Ferrari Dallas) completed a weekend sweep to maximize his best performance of 2026. Duit gained the lead early in the 30-minute contest, and finished first by more than 16 seconds.

Polesitter Fabian Sperman (The Collection) finished second to keep his position in the championship standings, while Jamie Garrett (Ferrari of Naples) placed third for an additional podium finish this season.

Ferrari Challenge North America stays on the West Coast for its penultimate round of the season.

Located less than three hours north of Laguna Seca, Sonoma Raceway hosts the series’ next doubleheader from July 22-26. The North American finale follows at Road America on Sept. 9-13 prior to Finali Mondiali at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya at the end of November.
