Bodymotion Racing will continue a dual-class effort in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge next year, having confirmed Devin Jones and Drake Kemper in its Porsche Cayman for the ST class.

Jones returns to the team after a standout season, which included a podium at Watkins Glen en route to a fifth place finish in the ST championship.

“We had a solid season last year but we want more,” Jones said. “Many improvements have been made during the off season and we are more determined than ever.”

Former Skip Barber MazdaSpeed Pro Challenge winner Kemper, meanwhile, is set for a full-season campaign after making selected Continental Tire Challenge starts last year with Alara Racing’s Mazda MX-5.

The 25-year-old will shift his focus to Porsche machinery with the Bodymotion team in 2017.

“First off I need to thank Mazda for being my racing family for the last four years,” Kemper said. “They allowed me to start my professional racing career.

“That being said, I’ve been racing Porsches since day one. My first race car was a Spec Boxster; I absolutely love Porsches and racing a mid-engine Cayman in ST is going to be an absolutely awesome, but comfortable transition for me.”

The Geoff Abel-led team will continue to also field its Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport for Trent Hindman and Cameron Cassels, who claimed three overall victories and finished third in the GS championship this year.

“We finished 2016 with our best team and driver results ever, including our first win in the world for Porsche’s new GT4 Clubsport, double podiums at the Glen, and the pole at Atlanta,” team manager Abel said.

“The entire crew at the shop and at the track are pumped up. Many upgrades to equipment and to the cars this off-season will help propel this team into 2017. We’ll be in the championship hunt with both cars in both classes.”
