Cooper Completes Road Atlanta Practice Sweep

Ibiza Farm Motorsports driver Michael Cooper completed a clean sweep of practice session for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge finale at Road Atlanta.

Cooper steered the No. 44 McLaren Artura GT4 to a best lap of 1:25.633, which put him 0.494 seconds clear of the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS in the hands of Jan Heylen.

Ford Koch, an early pacesetter aboard the No. 23 Copeland Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, ended the session third with Nate Cicero and Paul Holton completing the top five for McCumbee McAleer Racing and Team TGM, respectively.

BMW runners occupied the bulk of the lower half of the top ten, with the No. 96 Turner Motorsport M4 GT4 EVO of Robby Foley sixth followed by the CarBahn with Peregrine Racing-entered example of Jeff Westphal in seventh.

Daan Arrow slotted into eighth at the wheel of the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 ahead of the No. 95 Turner Motorsport BMW piloted by Dillon Machavern.

Patrick Wilmot rounded out the overall top ten in the No. 53 Kingpin Racing Toyota.

In the TCR category, Eric Powell put the No. 99 Victor Gonzalez Racing Team CUPRA Leon VZ TCR fastest in class with a best lap of 1:27.514.

LP Montour was second quickest aboard the No. 93 MMG Honda Civic FL5 TCR, with Bryson Morris third behind the wheel of the No. 33 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

The session was twice interrupted by red flags, both triggered by the No. 71 Rebel Rock Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo.

Qualifying for Michelin Pilot Challenge takes place at 6:05 p.m. EST.
