Cooper Quickest in Second Waktins Glen Practice

Michael Cooper reeled off another late flyer to go quickest again in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge practice ahead of qualifying for Saturday’s LP Building Solutions 120 at The Glen.

Cooper in the No. 44 Ibiza Farm Motorsports McLaren Artura GT4 recorded a 1:54.269 late in the 60-minute session to edge out Thursday pace-setter Robin Liddell in the No. 71 Rebel Rock Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Evo by 0.184 seconds.

Caio Chaves was third in the in the No. 54 Panama Motorsport Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

Daniel Morad was fourth quickest in the No. 57 Winward Mercedes-AMG GT4, with Paul Holton completing the top-five in the No. 46 Team TGM Aston Martin.

TCR was led by the No. 93 MMG Honda Civic FL5 TCR of LP Montour, who reeled off the sixth quickest time overall in the session.

The session, which started ten minutes late, did not feature any red flags, with the only notable incident coming 30 minutes in when the No. 56 car went off course in Turn 8 but continued.

Additionally, a number of cars received warnings for track limits violations.

Qualifying is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. EST.
