Qualifying has been canceled for Saturday’s seventh round of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season, the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase at Road America.

Rain began to interrupt the day’s running during the morning’s second practice session and only intensified throughout the afternoon, which prompted the decision from IMSA to cancel qualifying.

The session, which was scheduled from 3:10 to 3:55 p.m., will instead run as another practice session.

It leaves the field set by driver points per the regulations. Andrew Davis and Robin Liddell will have the pole position in GS in the No. 6 Stevenson Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.R, while Chad McCumbee and Stevan McAleer have the top spot in ST in the No. 5 CJ Wilson Racing Mazda MX-5.

Saturday’s two-hour and 30-minute race, a return to a normal length event after a reduced two-hour show at Lime Rock Park two weeks ago, will go green at 12:20 p.m. CT and local time on IMSA.com.

RESULTS: Unofficial Grid
