Indy Dontje has led a front-row sweep for Winward Racing/HTP Motorsport for Saturday’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge round at Watkins Glen International.

Dontje jumped to the top of the time sheets late in the GS qualifying session, completing a 1:54.709 lap in his No. 33 Mercedes-ANG GT4.

The Dutchman was 0.171 seconds quicker than teammate Christian Hohenadel, who qualified second.

The Daytona-winning Compass Racing McLaren 570S GT4 of Kuno Wittmer will start third, ahead of the No. 39 Carbahn Motorsports Audi R8 LMS GT4 qualified by Tyler McQuarrie.

It came despite McQuarrie’s best lap taken away for exceeding track limits.

James Clay, who is pulling double duty this weekend between Watkins Glen and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, completed the top-five overall and in the GS class.

Lewis Puts BHA Hyundai on TCR Pole

Michael Lewis claimed TCR class pole honors for Bryan Herta Autosport and Hyundai for the first time in IMSA competition.

Lewis reeled off a best lap of 1:56.888 in the No. 98 Hyundai Veloster N TCR to outpace the No. 54 JDC-Miller Motorsports Audi RS 3 LMS TCR of Michael Johnson by 0.498 seconds.

It comes after a 10 kg weight break for the Hyundai TCRs handed down by TCR International prior to this weekend.

The four-hour Tioga Downs Casino Resort 240 at The Glen gets underway Saturday at 1:55 p.m. ET, with live coverage on IMSA.tv.
