Jan Heylen set the quickest time of the day in practice for this weekend’s Road America 120 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge round.

The Wright Motorsports driver reeled off a 2:16.872 in the No. 16 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport Friday morning’s session to outpace the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 of Robby Foley by 0.171 seconds.

Scott Andrews put the No. 21 Riley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 third on the time charts, ahead of Bill Auberlen’s No. 95 Turner BMW in fourth.

The No. 65 Murllo Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Kenny Murillo led the way in the day’s second session, which was marred by two red flags and multiple incidents.

It included an incident for the No. 84 Atlanta Speedwerks Honda Civic Type R TCR of Brian Henderson, who lost his left-rear wheel while existing Canada Corner, resulting in a red.

A second red came out later for an incident for the No. 61 Road Shagger Racing Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car.

TCR was led by the No. 98 Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Ryan Norman, who recorded a 2:20.587 lap time in the second session.

It was marginally quicker than the No. 3 KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR of Tim Lewis Jr., who paced the morning session.

Qualifying for Pilot Challenge competitors is set to get underway Saturday at 8 a.m. CT.
