Liddell Paces Friday Practice at CTMP for Rebel Rock

Robin Liddell led the way following a pair of practice sessions for IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competitors at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park ahead of tomorrow’s two-hour race.

Liddell, in the No. 71 Rebel Rock Racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R, reeled off a 1:22.137 lap time late in the second session of the day to edge out the No. 69 Motorsport In Action McLaren Artura GT4 of Jesse Lazare by 0.401 seconds.

Scott Andrews, who led the way in Practice 1 in the No. 27 Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4, ended up third quickest of the day, followed by the No. 88 Archangel Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Kyle Marcelli and Michael Cooper’s Accelerating Performance Aston, which completed the top-five.

TCR was paced by the No. 99 VGRT Honda Civic Type-R TCR of Karl Wittmer, whose time came in the morning 60-minute session.

It was 0.259 seconds quicker than the No. 17 Unitronic/JDC-Miller Motorsports Audi RS 3 LMS TCR of Chris Miller in second.

There were a total of two red flags over the course of the day, the second one for the MIA McLaren, which stopped on track in Turn 3 in the final session.

Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday at 10:50 a.m. EDT.
