Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 on pole for tomorrow’s Michelin Pilot Challenge race…

Robert Megennis has claimed pole for Sunday’s Road America 120 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge round for Turner Motorsport.

Megennis took his No. 95 BMW M4 GT4 to a best lap of 2:14.920 in a two-lap shootout for GS class cars to outpace the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Eric Filgueiras by 0.734 seconds.

An accident for Anton Dias Perera in the Kink with ten minutes to go set up a six-minute and 30-second dash to the checkered flag for GS entries that saw times tumble.

Jenson Altzman will line up third in the No. 13 McCumbee McAleer Racing with AEROSPORT Ford Mustang GT4, followed by Ryan Yardley and Patrick Gallagher, who completed the top-five.

Harry Gottsacker led a Bryan Herta Autosport front row lockout in TCR, meanwhile.

Gottsacker took his No. 33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR to a best lap of 2:17.249 to edge out Michael Lewis in the No. 1 Hyundai by 0.047 seconds.

Chris Miller in the No. 17 Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports Audi RS 3 LMS TCR will start third in the class, with the team rebounding from an accident in practice from co-driver Mikey Taylor.

The Road America 120 gets underway Sunday at 2:55 p.m. CDT.
