New German Performance has committed to a full season IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge campaign with its Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car.

The Virginia-based team, which made its series debut with a two-race program last year, will take on the full ten-round championship in partnership with David Tilton Racing.

Reigning Daytona TCR class winner William Tally will be joined by Tristan Herbert for the season.

“After leading laps at VIR and running up front at Road Atlanta, we’ve shown that our young team is capable of contending for wins in the TCR class,” said team spokesperson Mike Humphrey.

“We are excited to carry the successes of 2021 into a run at the 2022 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR championship.”

The No. 44 Audi is one of 12 cars on the TCR entry list for this weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24 pre-season test, with additional cars expected for the season-opening BMW M Endurance Challenge on Jan. 28.
