Mike Skeen has replaced Ray Mason in the No. 60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 for the remainder of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season, beginning with this weekend’s four-hour race at Mid-Ohio.

Skeen, who joined Mason and Evan Slater in the car for January’s season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, will now contest the remaining races.

Mason, who owns the Multimatic-built car, said: “It is my pleasure to turn my seat in the No. 60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 over to Mike Skeen in order to showcase the talents of Evan Slater and put our team in the best position.”

Skeen added: “I am really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the No.60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 [this] week.

“I had a blast with the guys at Daytona in January, even though we didn’t get the results that we were hoping for, but I am looking forward to some good racing with these guys in Ohio. I’ve had a lot of success there in the past and hope to get another good result.”

The Dean Martin-led squad currently sits 28th and 32nd in the GS points standings after difficult starts to the season for both of its Mustang GT4 entries.

“When Ray told me he wanted to shift his focus, I knew right away who to call as my preferred co-driver,” added 20-year-old Slater.

“Mike and I have raced against each other for the past few years, and had a great time together in the No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4 at Daytona.

“I’m still so thankful to Ray for supporting this effort and helping me achieve my goals in racing.”
