The Acura ARX-06 has received the smallest Balance of Performance break for next weekend’s StubHub Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Released in the latest Balance of Performance tables on Thursday, the Meyer Shank Racing-run prototypes have only received a 3 kg weight reduction since its victory at Long Beach, with BMW, Cadillac and Porsche all getting double-digit decreases.

While the Aston Martin Valkyrie remains at the 1030 kg baseline, the BMW M Hybrid V8 receives a significant 17 kg weight reduction, while the Cadillac V-Series.R gets a 15 kg weight break and the two specification Porsche 963s also shed considerable weight in the form of 16 kg (2026) and 8 kg (2025), respectively.

At 1084 kg, the factory Porsche Penske Motorsport entries are still the heaviest GTP cars, by 28 kg compared to the next heaviest, the Acura, now at 1056 kg.

It’s believed the significant weight shifts for the LMDh-based cars are to work around the Valkyrie’s baseline, which cannot go any lighter per the LMH technical regulations.

While the Valkyrie also remains at the max 520 kW power output, the Acura has received the biggest power adjustment, a 1.5 percent increase in Stage 1 levels, although a much less 0.3 percent boost at Stage 2, for speeds over 200 km/h.

The BMW, by comparison, has a 0.5 percent increase in Stage 1 and 1.5 percent reduction in Stage 2, with the Cadillac also gaining slightly (+0.2 percent) in the first stage and losing more at the top-end (-1.1 percent).

Of note, the 2026-Porsche remains with its same power levels as it ran at Long Beach, although the JDC-Miller Motorsports Porsche gets a 1.3 percent increase in Stage 2 levels.

Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo Gets Near 100-Pound Weight Break

There has been mores significant swings in BoP in the GT3 ranks, with the GTD class championship-leading Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo getting a significant 41 kg (90-pound) weight reduction.

By comparison, the car with the next largest weight break for Laguna is the Ford Mustang GT3 EVO, at -15 kgs, and then the BMW M4 GT3 EVO at -12 kg and Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo at -11 kg.

On the opposite end, the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo has received a 10 kg weight increase, with the Corvette also gaining weight (+4 kg).

In terms of power changes, the biggest movers are the Porsche at Stage 1 (+7.6 percent) and Stage 2 (-4.3 percent), along with the Aston Martin at Stage 1 (-5.9 percent) and Stage 2 (-3.6 percent) as well as the Lamborghini Hurcan GT3 EVO2 at Stage 1 (+5.8 percent).

It should be noted that the speed thresholds have been adjusted lower for Laguna Seca, dropping down to 170 km/h (Stage 1) and 180 km/h (Stage 2).
