AO to Run Skeleton Rexy, Rockie Characters at Petit Le Mans

AO Racing will prepare for Halloween early, with ‘Skeleton Rexy’ returning for this weekend’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans, while ‘Rockie’ making its series debut.

Unveiled on Tuesday, the team’s Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo of Nick Tandy, Harry King and Alessio Picariello will be sporting ‘Skeleton Rexy’ for the second consecutive year.

The No. 77 Porsche will feature Rexy’s mouth and skeleton bones on the doors light up at night.

It’s LMP2 Oreca 07 Gibson for PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron and Jonny Edgar, meanwhile, swaps from ‘Spike’ to ‘Rockie’ for the ten-hour season finale at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

It will mark the Mobil 1-branded Rockie’s debut in the WeatherTech Championship after the character debuted at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 Pro-Am class.
