Josh Burdon is set for a full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship campaign in Andretti Autosport’s LMP3 entry next year, having been confirmed as Jarett Andretti’s co-driver for the seven-round season.

Burdon, who made his debut with the team at this month’s Motul Petit Le Mans, replaces Oliver Askew in the lineup, with Askew having since joined Andretti’s ABB FIA Formula E World Championship operation.

The 29-year-old Australian boasts previous LMP3 experience in Asian competition with KCMG prior to his run in the ten-hour enduro at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in the team’s Ligier JS P320 Nissan.

Former IndyCar driver Gabby Chaves and Road to Indy star Rasmus Lindh will complete the team’s lineup for January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, meanwhile.

Chaves has most recently driven in top-level WeatherTech Championship competition with Action Express Racing while Lindh had been a staple at rival LMP3 squad Performance Tech Motorsports in recent years.

It will mark Andretti Autosport’s first Rolex 24 start after joining the WeatherTech Championship mid-season last year at Mid-Ohio.
