TRG-AMR has made a last-minute change to its driver lineup for this weekend’s Lone Star Le Mans event at Circuit of The Americas.

Team owner Kevin Buckler confirmed to Sportscar365 late Wednesday that David Calvert-Jones and Ben Barker will drive its Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 in the penultimate round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

The lineup replaces the originally announced John McCutcheon, who was due to share the GT Daytona class contender with an Aston Martin Racing factory driver.

Los Angeles-based Australian driver Calvert-Jones makes his first WeatherTech Championship start since Road America 2014, the same year Barker took part in selected IMSA events with GB Autosport.

Barker, a regular in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Gulf Racing, becomes the fourth driver set to pull double-duty between the two races this weekend, joining Ryan Dalziel, Richard Bradley and Ricky Taylor.

TRG, meanwhile, makes its first WeatherTech Championship start since Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, where it scored a GTD class podium finish with the Aston Martin.

The team is also fielding an entry in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America series this weekend for Jeroen Bleekemolen and Derek DeBoer.

Practice for the two-hour and 40-minute Lone Star Le Mans race gets underway on Thursday.
