Dane Cameron continued Action Express Racing’s success in the practice sessions for Lone Star Le Mans, topping the second session on Thursday afternoon.
He set a time of 1:58.139 in his No. 31 Corvette DP, after the sister No. 5 car went quickest in this morning’s session.
Jordan Taylor put the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP into second, 0.616 seconds down on the AXR entry, while Michael Shank ended the session third.
Richard Bradley was the fastest of the Prototype Challenge runners in his Starworks Motorsport Oreca FLM09, with Tom Kimber-Smith second and Bruno Junqueira third.
A 2:04.107 put Richard Westbrook’s Ford GT into the GT Le Mans class lead, while Giancarlo Fisichella’s Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTE was behind the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing entry.
Turner Motorsport continued to top the GT Daytona class, with Markus Palttala leading in the No. 97 BMW M6 GT3. Scuderia Corsa’s Ferrari 488 GT3 was second.
The third and final IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship practice session at Circuit of The Americas is set for 9:10 a.m. Friday.
