Christopher Haase will continue with Paul Miller Racing for the balance of the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season.
Haase told Sportscar365 on Wednesday that after running in the first two races, he’ll keep driving alongside Bryce Miller in the team’s No. 48 Audi R8 LMS in the GT Daytona class.
“I’ll be here for the full season,” Haase said. “The first time I was here with the team, I felt very well from the first moment on. Happy to be with this Paul Miller Racing team, and really with a great car.”
The 26-year-old German qualified on pole for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, but the car was briefly disqualified from the position after IMSA officials said the car was found to have a rear wing endplate violation.
But that penalty was rescinded and the car did start on pole after all for the opening TUDOR Championship race.
An Audi GT factory driver, Haase has won the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring in 2012, co-driving with Marc Basseng, Frank Stippler and Markus Winkelhock. That same year, he also won the Pro class championship in the Blancpain Endurance Series.
Haase, Miller and UK driver Matt Bell make up the lineup for Sebring, with Bell’s status for the remaining Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup races yet to be determined.
