Kenny Habul has been placed on probation by IMSA for the next three IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship events for his role in an incident involving No. 90 VisitFlorida Racing driver Renger van der Zande during the June 3 race in Detroit.

Habul, driver of the No. 75 SunEnergy1 Mercedes-AMG GT3, was determined to have violated Rule 30.6 (unjustifiable risk) when he made contact with the VisitFlorida Racing Riley Mk. 30 Gibson, eliminating both cars from contention.

Habul’s probationary period will run through the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in July.
