Montaplast by Land Motorsport has confirmed its driver lineup for next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, with Christopher Mies, Dries Vanthoor, Ricardo Feller and Daniel Morad set to pilot its Audi R8 LMS Evo.

As indicated by Sportscar365 earlier this week, the German squad will head into the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with the quartet of drivers, in its third attempt in the Florida endurance classic.

Mies and Silver-rated Feller, who took part in ADAC GT Masters this year, turned laps during Tuesday’s Michelin On-Track Opportunity at Daytona, with the team set for an additional two days of testing, also at Daytona, which gets underway tomorrow.

“We are confident going in to our first race of 2019,” said team director Christian Land. “Given our extensive preparations for this race and the strong driver lineup, we want to be fighting for victory in Florida.

“We have successfully shown our potential around the Daytona International Speedway on several occasions in the past.”

While finishing second in class in its debut in 2017, a controversial fuel flow-related penalty handed down by IMSA stripped the team of a potential victory in GTD this year.
