Pruett Leads Detroit Warmup

Scott Pruett led the way in Saturday morning’s warmup for the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic at Detroit’s Belle Isle.

The Chip Ganassi Racing driver reeled off a best time of 1:26.215 in the 20-minute session, which ran without a major incident.

Ricky Taylor (Wayne Taylor Racing), Ozz Negri (Michael Shank Racing), Michael Valiante (Spirit of Daytona) and Gustavo Yacaman (OAK Racing) completed the top-five overall and in the Prototype class.

GTD was led by the No. 007 TRG-AMR Aston Martin Vantage of James Davison, who turned a quick lap of 1:34.095.

All 30 cars completed laps in the session.

The Chevrolet Sports Car Classic takes the green flag at 12:10 p.m. ET, with coverage beginning on FOX Sports 1 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
