Stephane Sarrazin will complete Rebellion Racing’s lineup for next month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, with the Frenchman joining the previously announced Neel Jani, Nick Heidfeld and fellow Toyota factory driver Sebastien Buemi in the team’s Oreca 07 Gibson.

Sarrazin, a three-time Petit Le Mans winner, was confirmed with the Anglo-Swiss squad on Thursday, in what marks one of the strongest lineups that’s set to take on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season-opener.

“I am very happy to be part of this new challenge with Rebellion Racing at Daytona, one of the biggest endurance race events,” Sarrazin said. “I look forward to start with the team and the new car.

“The driver lineup is high level and I think we have all the assets to do a good job.

“I have already competed at the 24 Hours of Daytona, it’s a difficult race, demanding in terms of strategy and where everything is possible, even a quarter of an hour from the end.”

The team, meanwhile, has finalized shop space near Atlanta for its Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup program, which will include a return to the Twelve Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans, the ten-hour enduro Rebellion is a former two-time winner at.

It’s understood ex-Audi LMP1 driver Marcel Fassler is in the frame for a drive in the Six Hours of The Glen in July.

Rebellion has yet to confirm its driver lineups beyond Daytona.
